The Purpose of L.F.C.

The relief of pain and the improvement of health by gentle alignment of body structure is our purpose.  With Low Force Chiropractic (L.F.C.) care, the nervous system becomes free from the distress of structural imbalance, and frees it to utilize the natural healing potential of the body.

L.F.C. and Other Forms of Chiropractic

L.F.C. employs a unique and sophisticated method of spinal diagnosis, which allows the patient's body to indicate the existence and exact location of nerve interference.  With this precise information, as well as the directions of misalignment, no more is required than a light force thrust to produce a complete correction to any structure of the body.

The Advantages of L.F.C.

Frequently, many potential patients have been reluctant to seek Chiropractic treatment because of stories they have heard of hard thrusting and popping sounds, sometimes referred to as "bone cracking", in volved in this form of health care.  Even current Chiropractic patients may find this uncomfortable or painful.  L.F.C. involves no hard thrusts or popping sounds because the correction is provided by a gentle push or impulse, by either the hand or an instrument.  If you do hear a noise that sounds like you're cracking your knuckles, referred to as joint cavitation, it is the release of gases such as oxygen and nitrogen from the joint.  Patients appreciate the specific attention to detail that L.F.C. provides, which results in effective correction of their problems, and the fewer number of visits required for both initial correction as well as maintenance.

Number of Visits

This will of course vary with each patient's needs, problems, history and the extent of misalignment in the involved area or areas of the spine and muscles.  L.F.C. has demonstrated the capacity of handling all Chiropractic structural problems with the fewest number of visits.  It is important to remember as well, that as with all forms of health care, each patient's involvement in improving his or her situation through attention to such things as diet, exercise, habits and postural correction is of great importance.

Maintaining the Corrections

From the L.F.C. viewpoint, the need for frequent visits suggests that the structure has not been properly or completely realigned in all respects, assuming no new injuries or aggravating factors have occurred since a previous visit.  With L.F.C., frequent visits are not necessary once a problem has been completely corrected.

Overall, adjustments are an excellent way to keep the body functioning at its highest level. When the body is in alignment, the body is able to respond and perform as it was originally designed to.
